Bruges is one of the most attractive shopping cities in West Flanders, with a large variety of shops within reach of everyone's budget.

The main shopping streets are situated between Markt square and the old city gates: Steenstraat, Simon Stevinplein, Mariastraat, Zuidzandstraat, St.-Jakobsstraat, St.-Amandsstraat, Geldmuntstraat, Noordzandstraat, Smedenstraat, Vlamingstraat, Philipstockstraat, Academiestraat, Hoogstraat, Langestraat, Smedenstraat, Katelijnestraat, Gentpoortstraat.

Between Noordzandstraat and Zuidzandstraat you will find the cosy shopping centre Zilverpand.

Most shops are open from 9 a.m. through 6 p.m. (some shops have late night shopping on Friday).
The main supermarkets are situated just outside the city centre. (open: 9 a.m.-8 p.m., on Friday to 9 p.m.).
 

Markets

Wednesday (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) on Market square (food)
Saturday (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) on 't Zand square and on Beursplein (food and non food)
Sunday (8 a.m.-1 p.m.) on Ten Briele (food and non food)
Fish market: Tuesday through Saturday, every morning.
Flea market along Dijver and at Fish market: Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. (15th March-15th November).
